I’ve had some time to reflect on my time in Puerto since coming back to the states earlier this month. I miss it a lot. I feel like I’m at home there. It’s hard to put into words what you experience on a project like that. There’s so much community and it’s crazy to see how people’s love for Jesus really unites a group. Although I’m missing my friends and everything else that goes with the project, I can see God working on the island…
God did some amazing things while we were there. As a group we initiated 175 spiritual conversations. Out of those 175 people, 78 people heard the gospel and 46 accepted Jesus Christ as their savior!
One of the things I’ve been reflecting on a lot since being home is discipleship. This trip showed me how important discipleship is. You need someone else to help guide you through your walk when you get stuck. I have big plans for discipleship with UMass AIA and I can’t wait to see how God works through it!
