Why?

It’s the end of my 3rd day in Puerto Rico. This country is so beautiful and you can see God’s hand in it. We’ve been talked about a couple different topics so far like the history behind the bible, listening to God, whether Jesus was Lord, a lunatic or a liar, audience of one, the Gospel and more. During every discussion there was one thing that stood out to me; why? Why do I believe what I believe? Why do I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins? I had never really asked myself that question before. It’s a tough one.

I grew up living life knowing that Jesus died for my sins but I never investigated it for myself. When I really started to think about it I started to see how crazy that sounds. Someone who I can’t see sent a baby to the Virgin Mary who would later die on the cross for me. But as I kept thinking about it and after I heard the Gospel talk this morning, I realized God is the creator of this world. He wants a relationship with all of his children so badly.
Over the next week and a half I am going to continue answering this question for myself, why do I believe that God sent Jesus down to earth as a sacrifice for my sins?
One thing I see for sure is God’s hand in creating this country. It’s amazing in so many different ways, the people, the weather, the ocean, the trees, everything.
